A Field Instrument For Self-Discovery

I Am: An Excavation

Answer each question with the option that's simply true of you — not the one that sounds best. Every answer becomes a sentence. By the end, you'll have a condensed statement of who you already are.

"You are not assembling an identity from spare parts. You're brushing the dirt off one that was already laid down — and naming it plainly: I am."

Core sample — eight strata, waiting to be uncovered

Eight Strata, Six Questions Each

Pick the option that's simply been true of you, not the one you aspire to. Each choice generates its own "I am" statement below it.

Your Compiled Statement

As you answer questions above, a condensed statement of who you are will take shape here.

Opens your email app with your statement addressed to yourself. Nothing is stored on our servers.

Saved in this browser only — it won't follow you to another device or browser unless you copy your statement out. Your compiled statement combines your exact answers into one sentence per stratum for readability; nothing is added that you didn't choose. There's no ideal score; some strata may feel harder to answer honestly than others, and that difficulty is itself worth noticing.
